New Delhi (SONNA): In a formal ceremony held at the Somali Embassy in New Delhi, His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Mohamed Odowaa officially assumed office as the new Ambassador of Somalia to India. The event marked a significant moment in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.

The ceremony began with the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy, His Excellency Abdifitaah Abdullahi Nur, handing over the office to Dr. Odowaa. In his speech, Mr. Nur briefed the assembled diplomats on the internal workings of the Embassy and highlighted the various activities undertaken during his tenure. He also outlined the current tasks and challenges that Dr. Odowaa will face as the new Ambassador.

Continuing his address, Mr. Nur urged the diplomatic staff to extend the same level of cooperation and support to Dr. Odowaa as they had during his term. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity in achieving the Embassy’s goals.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Odowaa expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nur for his dedicated service and commended the Embassy staff for their hard work. He acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Nur in maintaining the Embassy’s operations and fostering strong diplomatic ties between Somalia and India.

Dr. Odowaa also called upon all diplomats to remain committed to their roles and continue their diligent work in serving the Somali nation. He emphasized that collaboration and mutual support would be key to the Embassy’s success and the strengthening of bilateral relations between Somalia and India.

The ceremony concluded on a positive note, with the diplomats reaffirming their dedication to their duties and expressing their enthusiasm for working under the leadership of Dr. Odowaa.

This transition marks a new chapter in the history of the Somali Embassy in India, as it continues to build and enhance the relationship between the two countries.
