Mogadishu, SONNA -Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmed Moallim Fiqi officially signed Somalia’s accession to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) and its protocol. This historic move reinforces Somalia’s commitment to combating transnational organized crime and enhancing international collaboration to strengthen global security.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Moallin , and Somalia’s Chief Justice, His Excellency Baashe Yuusuf Ahmed, alongside other senior government officials. This milestone marks a significant step in Somalia’s efforts to align with international standards and contribute to global peace and stability.
