Mogadishu, SONNA – In a coordinated series of operations that have delivered a significant setback to the Alshabab terrorist group, the National Armed Forces have successfully neutralized over 80 insurgents, including key leaders. The operations, which took place across the regions of Galmudug, Hirshabelle, and Southwest State, were carried out with the support of international security partners, showcasing a united front against terrorism.

The 24-hour long military campaign is a testament to the relentless efforts of the National Armed Forces in combating extremism and protecting the sovereignty of the nation. The successful operations also highlight the effectiveness of collaborative defense strategies with global allies in the fight against terror groups that threaten regional stability and peace.

The Ministry of Defense stated that these planned operations are part of a larger strategy to dismantle the capabilities of Alshabab and disrupt their plans to undermine the security of the region. The Ministry also extended gratitude to the international partners for their unwavering support in these critical missions.

As the National Armed Forces continue to secure victories on the battlefield, the government reaffirms its commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of its citizens. This latest triumph serves as a reminder of the bravery and skill of the nation’s soldiers and the importance of international cooperation in maintaining global security.
