The forum drew a distinguished gathering of diplomats, government officials, experts, and scholars from across the globe who engaged in extensive discussions on pressing human rights issues of global significance.

Jointly organized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, the forum proved to be an exceptional platform for meaningful exchanges and constructive deliberations on pertinent human rights matters.

One of the key highlights of the event was the adoption of “The Vienna Declaration,” which served to reaffirm the collective commitment to global human rights governance. The declaration underscored the principles of equality, cooperation, and development as essential pillars in promoting and safeguarding human rights worldwide.

Ambassador Kullane delivered a notable intervention during the forum, emphasizing the paramount importance of advancing global human rights governance. He underscored the imperative of fostering collaboration, cooperation, and progress to effectively address the challenges confronting human rights in the modern era.

A crucial point of discussion centered around the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of human rights and enhancing the governance of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Additionally, participants actively examined ways to effectively tackle the emerging challenges posed by the digital age.

The diverse array of perspectives shared by the esteemed participants resulted in the formulation of comprehensive recommendations aimed at promoting enhanced cooperation and furthering the development of global human rights governance.

Expressing deep appreciation for the invaluable opportunity to contribute to the advancement of global human rights governance, Ambassador Cawale Cali Kullane extended his gratitude to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the China International Development Cooperation Agency for their exceptional organization and the immense value of the forum.

The participation of the Somali Ambassador at this esteemed gathering further underscores Somalia’s commitment to actively engaging in global human rights discourse and contributing to the collective pursuit of a just and equitable world.
