Mogadishu(SONNA)-Senior Al-Shabaab militant commander in charge of Awdhegle, Mubarak and Darusalam towns in lower Shabelle region, was Monday killed in a well planned military operation, conducted in the region by the Somali National Army there, SONNA reported.
SNA Chief Commander, Gen. Odowa Yusuf Rage told the State media that the forces also recovered key areas during the latest operation in the region.
Such military development comes as the Somali National Army intensified operations aimed at eradicating terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab in recent.
