Mogadishu, (SONNA): The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation convened the National Peace Education Steering Committee meeting today in Mogadishu, aimed at strengthening coordination and advancing peace education initiatives across the country.
The meeting was chaired by Kamal Gutale, Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, and brought together senior government officials and key stakeholders from federal and state institutions.
Among the participants was Abdulkadir Ali, Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, alongside senior representatives committed to enhancing collaboration and promoting peace education as a key pillar for stability and reconciliation in Somalia.
Discussions focused on aligning national priorities, improving institutional coordination, and accelerating the implementation of peace education programs to support long-term peacebuilding efforts nationwide.
