Somalia Participates in Arab League Ministerial Meetings in Jordan

mman, Jordan(SONNA)-H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, participated in the Arab Consultative Meeting and the resumed 165th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level in Amman.

The meeting adopted the appointment of H.E. Dr. Nabil Fahmy as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and discussed a number of issues on the Arab agenda.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the State Minister held bilateral talks with his counterparts from Qatar, Mauritania, and Djibouti to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest. Somalia’s participation reflects its continued commitment to advancing joint Arab action and strengthening coordination with fellow Arab countries in support of shared interests and regional stability.
