Event to Endorse Minister Abdulkadir for Speaker Held in Baidoa

BAIDOA, (SONNA) – A large event to welcome and support the candidacy of Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Jama for Speaker of the House of the People was held in Baidoa on Wednesday.

The event brought together traditional elders, youth, intellectuals, and representatives from various sectors of society, who expressed their support for Abdulkadir, the current Minister of Ports and Marine Transport, describing him as the most qualified candidate for the position.

Speakers at the gathering highlighted Abdulkadir’s contributions to the country, citing his role in strengthening relations between Somalia and Türkiye, supporting efforts against the Al-Shabaab terrorist group, and advancing national interests through his public service.

Members of parliament and community representatives who attended the event called on lawmakers to cast their votes in favor of Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Jama in the upcoming election for Speaker of the House of the People.

Speaking at the conclusion of the event, the Southwest State Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation said Abdulkadir possesses strong leadership qualities and deserves to be elected Speaker of the House of the People.
