Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, H.E. Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a major tarmac road connecting Banadir Junction to Wadajir District, passing through the vicinity of Madina Hospital in the capital.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor Muungaab reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, particularly roads and other key facilities that ensure smooth mobility across the city. He emphasized that the Banadir Regional Administration will not tolerate any unauthorized alterations to newly constructed roads and announced that strict regulations will soon be introduced for utility companies and service providers operating within the city.
The Mayor also called on Mogadishu residents to take collective responsibility in safeguarding the safety, cleanliness, and development of the city’s roads to enhance the overall beauty and image of the capital, comparable to other developed cities around the world.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governors of Banadir Region, the District Commissioner of Wadajir, business leaders, traditional elders, and other members of the local community.
