Baydabo (SONNA): The Somali National Army Air Force has taken a decisive step in the ongoing operations to liberate the country from the Khawarij, with aircrafts arriving at the 60th Division base in Baidoa, located in the Bay region.

General Hassan Isaaq Omar, known as Hassan Baidoa, Commander of the 60th Division of the Armed Forces, addressed the National Media on the significant arrival of the Air Force aircrafts. He emphasized the strategic importance of these aircrafts in the current operations to eliminate the Khawarij presence in Baidoa.

“We are maintaining these aircrafts; they are crucial for us at this time from an air perspective. This is an indescribable joy for us today,” stated General Hassan Baidoa. He also commended the National Leaders for their persistent efforts in rebuilding the Air Force, highlighting the critical role of modern technology in these efforts.

The head of the South West administration expressed gratitude to the Somali government for the arrival of these aircrafts in Baidoa. He noted that this is the first time since 1991 that the Somali National Army has received such aircrafts, which are vital for the ongoing anti-Khawarij operations.

The soldiers of the 60th Division were visibly excited to witness their own aircrafts landing at their base. They described the arrival as significant and necessary for participating in the aerial campaign against the Khawarij.

The recently operational Air Force aircrafts have been instrumental in supporting the Somali National Army’s efforts to liberate the country from the Khawarij. Their deployment marks a crucial advancement in the military’s capabilities and operational effectiveness in the region.
