Speaker of the Federal Parliament Colorfully Received in Kismayo

Kismayo, Somalia – The city of Kismayo was abuzz with excitement as it played host to a distinguished delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by the esteemed Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe. The delegation’s arrival was met with a vibrant reception, showcasing the unity and cooperative spirit of the Somali people.

Accompanied by the First Deputy Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Saadiya Yassin Haji Samatar, and esteemed members of the Standing Committee, the delegation received a warm reception at Kismayo Airport. The welcoming committee was led by none other than the President of the Jubaland Regional Government, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, alongside the Speaker of the Jubaland Parliament, ministers, and representatives from various community sectors.

The visit marks a pivotal step towards the upcoming Standing Committee meeting, set to convene in Kismayo. The agenda is poised to focus on the meticulous planning of the fifth session of the People’s Assembly, a testament to the ongoing commitment to legislative excellence and governance.

This event not only symbolizes the collaborative spirit between federal and regional authorities but also paves the way for enhanced dialogue and unity, reinforcing the fabric of Somali democracy.
