Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, met with the US Interim and Charge d’Affaires Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Shane Dixon, and they discussed strengthening the relationship between the two countries and the second phase preparations of the fight against the Al-Shabaab terrorists.
The Prime Minister thanked the United States government for the support they provide to Somalia in various fields, especially in terms of development, security, the fight against militant groups, and humanitarian issues.
PM Hamza underlined the commitment of the Government of the efforts to eradicate the militiamen and in general to rid the country of the groups that are preventing the peace and development of the Somali people.
Ambassador Dixon praised the Somali Government for accelerating the war against the Al-Shabaab and the plans related to the priority programs for the Somali government.
