Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, congratulated the team of Gubadley region who won the Cup of Districts and Regions of Banadir Region in Mogadishu, and presented them with the trophy.
The Prime Minister praised the team of Warta-Nabada District who reached the final match, and pointed out that the players, teachers and football authorities of the districts and areas of Banadir region have shown high skill, unity and great effort.
“I hope that the sports will protect the youth from joining radicalism, troublemaking and drugs, and guide them on the right path. We all have a responsibility to work for peace and unity and remove the terrorists out.”
Also, the Prime Minister described the sports competition in the districts of Banadir region as a symbol of peace that the community sees, and reflects the value of peace and social interaction for the development of the capital.
Prime Minister Hamza praised the organization and management process of the Cup by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Somali Football Federation and the Banadir Regional Government who cooperated greatly in organizing this competition.
