Jowhar- (SONNA) One person believed to be a community leader was killed and four others were injured in an explosion that occurred in Jowhar town, the capital of Hirshabelle State in Somalia.
Bashir Hassan Arabey, Jowhar police commander told the media that the bomb was placed at a restaurant before the incident.
Among the injured were two Members of Parliament of Hirshabelle State namely Omar Mohamed Omar and Yusuf Abdukadir Karani.
The police commander said that they are conducting investigations and strengthening the security.
