Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somalia’s Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee on Thursday traveled to Jowhar town, the administrative capital of Hirshabelle State, in order, to observe the elections of 8 seats for upper house of the Federal Parliament there next week, SONNA reported.
Hirshabelle State President, Ali Abdullahi Hussein yesterday released the list of the candidates running for the seats while the regional electoral team also displayed the election schedule.
The election procedure starts today on Thursday, and will be finalized Monday next week according to the time table.
Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee’ task is to observe, listen to complaints and try to find solution to such problems related to the on-going election.
