Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received the UK Minister of State for Development and Africa, Jenny Chapman, at the Villa Somalia Presidential Palace.
They discussed further enhancing the strong and enduring partnership between Somalia and the United Kingdom. The President expressed appreciation for the UK’s continued cooperation and support for Somalia’s state-building endeavours and climate resilience, underscoring the country’s progress toward democratic transformation.
The President also reiterated Somalia’s commitment to prioritizing unity, sovereignty, and constructive dialogue, and welcomed a deeper Somalia-UK partnership in promoting mutual interests and long-term regional stability.
