A Legacy of Resolve: Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur’s Tenure and Somalia’s Path to Victory

As Minister the Minister of Defence of Somalia, H.E Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Jama’s tenure nears its end, we proudly look back at a period marked by unwavering leadership, historic reforms, and a relentless fight against terrorism.

Under his command, Somalia’s defense sector has undergone a transformation rooted in the vision of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud — a vision of a secure, united, and sovereign Somalia.

🔹 Over 20,000 SNA soldiers were trained
🔹 5,000+ Khawarij terrorists were eliminated
🔹 10+ defense agreements were signed
🔹 200+ diplomatic missions were completed
🔹 250+ days were spent on the frontlines
🔹 14+ FMS visits ensured national coordination

Today, Mogadishu is more secure than ever, and the tide has turned. The end of terrorism is in sight in Somalia.

This is a struggle defined by the motto: VictoryOrDeath

There is no compromise when it comes to Somalia’s future.

We express our deepest gratitude to:
— Our martyrs, who gave everything.
— Our wounded heroes, who continue to inspire.
— And our dedicated Ministry staff, whose efforts powered this journey.

This legacy belongs to a people who refused to surrender.

Somalia will rise — not through foreign hands, but by the courage, sacrifice, and resolve of its own sons and daughters.

And above all, we thank the people of Somalia —
those who, with patience, faith, and unshakable hope, continued to pray and believe in an independent, peaceful, and terror-free Somalia.

By the Ministry of Defence.
