Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held a phone conversation on Saturday afternoon. The call addressed Somalia-Türkiye bilateral relations as well as regional and global matters.
Stating that Türkiye supports Somalia’s development vision through democracy and that its support for Somalia’s fight against terror will continue to increase, President Erdoğan noted that the promising cooperation between Türkiye and Somalia in the areas of energy and fishing will also continue.
President Hassan expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government for its unwavering multifaceted support to Somalia.
President Erdoğan extended his greetings to President Hassan on the upcoming Eid al-Adha.
