MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Federal Government of Somalia has mandated the withdrawal and return of the National Security Forces stationed in the Lower Juba region, in a move aimed at safeguarding the lives of Somali citizens and military personnel. This directive comes in response to recent actions attributed to accused Ahmed Madobe, which have raised serious concerns about the safety of Somali nationals.

The government emphasized the imperative to protect Somali lives, reaffirming the value placed on each individual. The NSF have been explicitly instructed to avoid any engagement in conflict with entities other than the Khawarij, emphasizing their primary mission to combat extremist threats and ensure national security.

“The Somali National Security Forces have no orders to engage in war with anyone other than the Khawarij,” a government spokesperson stated. “Our forces are committed to fulfilling their national duty to protect the country, its people, and its religious values by any means necessary.”

This strategic withdrawal is part of a broader effort to maintain stability and prevent unnecessary loss of life. The decision highlights the government’s commitment to a focused and responsible approach in addressing security threats while minimizing risks to its citizens.
