Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army on Saturday arrested 16 Al-Shabaab militants after conducting operation at Barire location in lower Shabelle region southern Somalia, SONNA reported.
Ahmed Hassan Siyad, Army commander in the area told the State media that the army also released 40 children from the terrorists’ hands during the operation. He said that they took those children from their parents in different areas, wanting to train them to be part of the group.
