Mogadishu, (SONNA)-: H.E. Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Sunday hosted a farewell meeting for Lisa Filipetto, the departing Head of UNSOS, who had completed her term as the head of Mission. During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked Ms. Filipetto for her hard work and support for Somalia during her tenure.
In response, Ms. Filipetto expressed her gratitude to the Somali government for the assistance given throughout her service. while the government’s ongoing efforts to promote positive changes in the country, especially in the fields of peace-building, security, and stabilization.
The meeting showcased the strong relationship between Somalia and the United Nations as well as their shared commitment towards achieving peace and prosperity in the region. This significant farewell gathering highlighted the power of international connections to create a brighter future for Somalia.
