Ankara, (SONNA) – The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today attended the graduation ceremony of officers, including Somali nationals, who completed advanced studies and training at the War College of Türkiye’s National Defence University.
The new officers of the Somali National Army, drawn from the land, air, and naval forces, are expected to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired to strengthen the national armed forces and contribute to security and stability across the country.
Minister Fiqi presented certificates and medals to the graduates, praising their dedication and perseverance throughout the course.
The ceremony was also attended by the President of Türkiye, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, senior members of his government, military officials, and defence ministers from other countries represented by the graduating officers.
