Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), has called on Somali citizens to obtain their voter cards and actively participate in the historic one-person, one-vote election scheduled for December 25.
The Minister stated that, for the first time in 57 years, citizens will be able to directly elect their representatives, describing the development as a major milestone for Somalia’s democracy.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring strong security measures so that the election is conducted peacefully, freely, and transparently.
The Minister urged the public to exercise their constitutional right and vote for leaders they believe will serve the interests of the people and the future of the country.
