Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji, today attended the graduation ceremony of a new batch of Somali National Army (SNA) Commandos who successfully completed intensive training at the TURKSOM Military Training Academy in Mogadishu.
The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Defence, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, and attended by senior military officials, including the Commander of the SNA Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, along with representatives of the Turkish training mission.
This latest graduation marks another milestone in the Federal Government’s continued efforts to enhance the professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness of the Somali Armed Forces as part of building a capable and unified national army to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In his remarks, Defence Minister Fiqi reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to the training, modernisation, and equipping of the Somali National Armed Forces, ensuring their readiness to eliminate terrorist groups and protect Somalia’s independence.
