Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, accompanied by the President of the Somali National University, Prof. Mohamed Mahmoud, today conducted an inspection visit to the university’s Gaheyr Campus to assess the progress of ongoing reconstruction and modernization works.
During the visit, the delegation received briefings from project officials and engineers overseeing the modernization initiative and reviewed the status of construction activities since the foundation stone was laid on May 2.
The Minister and the University President reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the timely completion of the project, emphasizing its importance in providing a modern learning environment capable of meeting the growing educational needs of Somali students.
The modernization of the Gaheyr Campus forms part of broader efforts to strengthen higher education infrastructure and enhance academic opportunities across the country.
