Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Chairman of the National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (NIEBC), Abdikarim Ahmed Hassan, along with members of the commission, met today with Türkiye’s Ambassador to Somalia, Alper Aktaş, at the commission’s office. The discussion focused on the implementation and support for the upcoming elections in Somalia.
Ambassador Alper Aktaş reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to assisting the commission in efforts to establish a one-person, one-vote electoral system in the country.
