Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The National Security Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hussein Macalin said on Saturday evening that the Somali Government has succeeded in preparing 10,000 soldiers aimed at replacing the African Transmission Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) in order, they might take control of the responsibility after ATMIS exit from the country in December 2024
Hussein lauded the military achievements made during the operation against the Al-Shabaab terrorists in the country in the past seven months, saying that the second phase of the fight has been prepared and will start very soon.
Mr. Hussein said that the weapon sanctions on Somalia will be lifted after the government fulfils the ten commandments and submits it to the United Nations Security Council in November 2023.
