MOGADISHU (SONNA) — The Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, H.E. Ahmed Yusuf Hassan, executed a high-level strategic coordination summit with leaders of national youth organizations. The primary operational objective of this engagement was to solidify inter-agency cooperation, establish mutual operational understanding, and aggressively mobilize the youth demographic in preparation for the Somali National Youth Day on May 15.
This executive summit directly advances the Ministry’s mandate to control and execute the national youth development agenda. Director General Ahmed prioritized direct consultation and the establishment of highly effective, actionable partnerships between the Federal Government and grassroots youth networks. By integrating these leaders into the planning phase, the state ensures genuine participation and alignment with broader national objectives.
During the summit, the executive delegation conducted a comprehensive review of tactical plans for the upcoming national event. The discussions focused strictly on engineering May 15 into a powerful platform for national unity, civic awareness, and the active operational integration of Somali youth into state-building initiatives. The high-level assembly was firmly reinforced by the presence and strategic input of the Director of the Youth Development Department, Ayan Abdullahi, and the Chairman of the National Youth Council, Mohamed Ali Siyad.
