Mogadishu (SONNA) – Howlwadag District Police Commander Najib Abdi Abib (Najib Arab) told the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) that the vehicle rammed into a military checkpoint at the Idko market at the intersection, and exploded as troops chased it.
The commander confirmed that only the driver lost his life in the blast and two others got injured.
Security forces have beefed up the security of the Benadir region, and senior military officials are ordering them to spend more time securing the peace of the country.
