Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia, chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, has approved the Somalia Labor Bill submitted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Executive Council of the Somali National Statistics Agency.
The Cabinet of Ministers have unanimously approved the Somali Labor Bill submitted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, which will significantly change the status and employment rights of government employees and those of private companies.
The Council also approved the Executive Council of the National Statistics Agency submitted by the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development which consists of eight members.
The purpose of appointing this council is to speed up the activities and the large-scale work in front of the organization, and to complete the legislation for the construction of a high-quality management council.
In the meeting, the Council was given reports related to the country’s security, taxes, sports and Hajj issues, which were heard from the Ministries of Internal Security, Defence, Finance and Religion and Endowments.
