Mogadishu(SONNA)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, on Wednesday received the Ambassador of the Qatar to Somalia, Abdullah bin Salem Al-Nuaimi, at his office to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of partnership between Qatar and Somalia.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed his appreciation to the government and people of Qatar for their continued support to Somalia, particularly in infrastructure development projects and humanitarian assistance. He noted that his government places special priority on implementing the recent cooperation agreements signed between the two countries, especially those related to defense and social development.
For his part, Ambassador Dr. Abdullah reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting the Somali government. He commended the progress Somalia has achieved in the areas of security and national stabilization, underscoring Doha’s readiness to further deepen cooperation in pursuit of mutual interests.
The meeting reflects the strong and growing partnership between Somalia and Qatar, built on mutual respect and shared development goals.
