Mogadishu (SONNA): The Deputy Chief of the Somali National Army (SNA), Brigadier General Madeey Nuureey Sheekh (Ufurow), today received the Turkish Military Commander in Somalia, Major General Kalkan Sebahattin, at the SNA Headquarters in Mogadishu.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and coordination, particularly in the areas of training, force development, and the enhancement of security operations.
Both commanders reaffirmed the importance of further reinforcing the strategic partnership between Somalia and Turkey, which plays a vital role in rebuilding and enhancing the capacity of the Somali National Army.
Brigadier General Madeey Nuureey Sheekh (Ufurow) also expressed appreciation to Major General Kalkan Sebahattin for his valuable visit, noting that the support provided by the Turkish government remains visible and impactful.
