Somali Ministry of Information Presents Report to Upper House Committee

Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA): The Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism of Somalia presented a comprehensive report to the Public Service Committee of the Upper House. The session, chaired by Dr. Osman Mohamud Mohamed (Dufle), focused on the ministry’s operations, legislative framework, employee rights, and strategic initiatives.

Honorable Daud Aweys Jama, the Minister of Information, along with his deputy and other officials, addressed various inquiries from committee members. Key topics included the ministry’s legislative activities, the establishment of the media council, public awareness campaigns against extremist groups, and the promotion of Somali culture and literature.

Minister Jama and his team provided detailed responses, highlighting their efforts and future plans. Dr. Dufle, in his closing remarks, emphasized the importance of the ministry’s role in national development and accountability. He assured continued oversight and support to ensure the ministry’s objectives are met efficiently.
