Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has provided essential humanitarian aid to Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu, specifically targeting the needs of maternal and child patients.
The donation comprised a shipment of food items intended to support patients at the Banadir Maternity and Child Hospital.
SODMA Relief Director, Sahra Ali Yusuf, highlighted the importance of the charity, noting the donation of food trucks by the hospital administration. She emphasized the critical role of this aid in supporting victims of malnutrition and other prevalent childhood diseases such as measles and pertussis.
The Deputy Director of Banadir Hospital, Aamino Sh Hassan, expressed her sincere gratitude for the continued assistance from SODMA. She reported that this delivery marks the third instance within the past year where SODMA has provided vital medicine, equipment, and food supplies to the hospital, demonstrating a consistent commitment to supporting the healthcare needs of the community.
