Guba, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud participated in a five-party summit in Guba, Ethiopia, focused on financing the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
The meeting brought together Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Kenyan President William Ruto, and African Union Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.
Discussions centered on strengthening regional cooperation, particularly on security and stabilization, with emphasis on sustaining support for AUSSOM.
President Hassan Sheikh underlined that continued backing for the Somali National Army and AUSSOM is vital to consolidating gains made against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
