This submission process is a critical component of the commission’s efforts to ensure the election is conducted with transparency, efficiency, and strict adherence to the previously announced schedule. The move signals the readiness of these political actors to engage in the democratic process and vie for the mandate to manage the capital’s districts.
Speaking on the progress of the registration phase, the Chairman of the NIEBC, Mr. Abdikarim Ahmed Hassan, acknowledged the organizations that have complied with the requirements. He issued a stern reminder to the remaining political associations that have not yet finalized their documentation.
Chairman Abdikarim emphasized that the window for submission is closing rapidly, urging all remaining parties to submit their complete candidate lists before the final deadline of December 10. The commission reiterated that adhering to this timeline is essential for the timely printing of ballot papers and the overall logistical success of the historic poll.
