Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The National Army, alongside dedicated local community forces, has successfully neutralized extremist threats across multiple locations in Hirshabelle State today.
In these proactive operations, over 70 extremist militants were eliminated through the coordinated efforts of the National Army and local forces. The operations took place in the Cadow-Guray area of Hiiraan region and in Ceel Cali Axmed and Alkowsar areas of Middle Shabelle region.
Leveraging prior intelligence on the militants’ activities, the National Army executed their strategies effectively, resulting in the removal of numerous militants, including key leaders, from the conflict zones.
In addition to the significant militant losses, a large cache of weapons was seized, and several combat vehicles utilized by the extremists were destroyed.
The government is currently evaluating the extensive damage inflicted on the enemy during these successful operations, and the Somali public will receive further updates shortly.
