Mogadishu, SONNA – The Somali security forces have conducted a successful operation against the Al-Shabaab terrorists in the Galgadud region, killing at least 43 of them. The operation also destroyed 3 vehicles belonging to Al-shabab. The operation was planned and executed at Hin-tubal and El Ali Weyd locations, where the terrorists had been hiding and plotting attacks.

The National Armed Forces also defended the Darul-Na’im village in the Middle Shabelle region from a terrorist attack. The attack was launched by a group of Al-Shabaab militants who tried to infiltrate the village and cause havoc. The National Armed Forces, backed by the local residents, fought back and repelled the attack, forcing the terrorists to flee.

The Somali government, with the support of its regional and international partners, has been making progress in defeating Al-Shabaab and reclaiming territory from them. The government has also been implementing reforms and initiatives to improve governance, security, justice, and service delivery for its citizens. The government has also been engaging in dialogue and reconciliation with various stakeholders to achieve lasting peace and stability in Somalia.
