Southwest State Leader Chairs Security Meeting on Strengthening Stability and Countering Al-Shabaab

Baidoa, (SONNA) — Southwest State Leader H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) chaired a security meeting focused on strengthening security across Southwest State and intensifying efforts to counter attacks and other threats posed by Al-Shabaab.
The meeting reviewed the security situation across Southwest State, with particular attention to Baidoa, and discussed plans to strengthen security measures and prepare security forces to prevent terrorist attacks targeting civilians and key facilities.
Sheikh Adan Madobe directed security institutions to step up efforts to protect the lives, property and safety of civilians. He also urged communities to work closely with security forces and share information that could help prevent security threats.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Security, Director of the Presidency, senior security officials, the Governor of Bay region and the Mayor of Baidoa.
