PM Hamza Urges Somali Graduates to Apply Knowledge to National Development

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre attended a graduation ceremony at Mogadishu University, where students completing various levels of higher education were awarded their certificates.
Congratulating the graduates, the Prime Minister commended their parents and lecturers for supporting their education and urged the graduates to use their knowledge and skills to address the challenges facing Somali society and contribute to national development.
The Prime Minister said the DanQaran Government has prioritised improving education at all levels, describing quality education as a cornerstone of national development and Somalia’s efforts to build modern state institutions.
He also stressed the importance of aligning education with labour-market needs, urging graduates to apply their expertise to solving real-world challenges and creating opportunities.
Prime Minister Hamza further said the government is prioritising employment opportunities for educated Somali youth and strengthening the use of national expertise in government institutions.
