PM Hamza Reviews Government Performance Report, Highlights Progress Across Six Pillars

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre visited the centre preparing the Government Performance Report 2022–2026, housed at the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, where he reviewed progress achieved during the government’s tenure.
Officials preparing the report briefed the Prime Minister on achievements across the government’s six pillars: security, economic development, social affairs, reconciliation and social cohesion, international relations, and justice, with the report indicating significant progress across the sectors.
Prime Minister Hamza said the government’s achievements are anchored in the National Transformation Plan and the country’s long-term 2060 Vision, stressing that continued national unity, cooperation and collective effort are needed to achieve sustainable development.
He said the government’s vision is to build a united Somalia free from terrorism, with a prosperous population able to harness its resources and invest in the country.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the performance report is part of the government’s accountability to the Somali people, providing the public with a clear account of its achievements. All federal ministries and government institutions are contributing to the report, whose final draft has been submitted to the Regional Academy for Somali Language and Culture for editorial and Somali-language terminology review as a lasting national record.
