Somalia Strengthens Agricultural and Climate Cooperation at UNCCD COP17 in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, (SONNA) — The State Minister for Livestock, Forestry and Range of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Suleyman Ali, held bilateral meetings with senior officials from Mongolia and Yemen on the sidelines of the UNCCD COP17 conference in Ulaanbaatar.
H.E. Dr. Suleyman met H.E. Jambaltseren Tumur-Uya, State Secretary of Mongolia’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Light Industry, and Eng. Ahmed Al-Zamaki, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of Yemen.
The meetings provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, exchanging technical expertise and exploring areas of mutual interest in agriculture, livestock, pastoralism and climate resilience.
The engagements underscore Somalia’s efforts to expand international cooperation and advance climate-resilient approaches to agriculture and livestock development.
