Mogadishu (SONNA) – Al-Mahaasin Foundation, in partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has launched the Zakat Al-Fitr Distribution Project for 1446H (2025) to assist impoverished and displaced families across Somalia.
The initiative aims to support 57,000 vulnerable households, particularly in the Banadir region and parts of Lower Shabelle, by providing essential aid ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The project seeks to alleviate financial burdens and bring joy to families during the holy festivities.
This effort is part of KSrelief’s broader humanitarian mission in Somalia, which includes programs in food security, healthcare, education, and water access for marginalized communities. The collaboration underscores the ongoing commitment of Saudi Arabia and its partners to stand with the Somali people in times of need.
Al-Mahaasin Foundation expressed deep gratitude to KSrelief for its unwavering support and emphasized its dedication to expanding relief programs and fostering sustainable partnerships.
“We remain committed to uplifting the most vulnerable and ensuring a dignified life for all Somalis,” the foundation stated.
This project highlights the critical role of international aid in addressing Somalia’s humanitarian challenges and fostering long-term stability.
