Bangui, (SONNA) – The annual African Caucus Summit of Finance Ministers concluded today in the capital of the Central African Republic, where high-level discussions focused on strengthening climate- and conflict-resilient infrastructure across the continent.
The multi-day forum brought together finance ministers from across Africa, alongside senior officials from key international institutions including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, and the African Development Bank. Delegates engaged in productive dialogue on unlocking sustainable financing for infrastructure that supports economic resilience and long-term development.
Representing the Federal Government of Somalia, Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Cabdiqafaar Cilmi Xaange, actively participated in both the plenary sessions and a series of bilateral meetings. These side discussions included engagements with ministers, ambassadors, and senior representatives from international financial institutions involved in development financing across Africa.
All meetings concluded on a positive note, with Somalia securing renewed interest in collaboration and support for national development priorities.
