MOGADISHU, SONNA — President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Saturday received the Ambassador of Türkiye to Somalia, Alper Aktaş, during a courtesy visit at the Presidential Palace, Villa Somalia.
The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Somalia and Türkiye, with both sides discussing regional and international developments of mutual interest.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed Somalia’s appreciation to the Government and people of Türkiye for their continued and unwavering support toward Somalia’s state-building efforts, security cooperation, and development agenda.
The discussions also underscored the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of enhancing cooperation across key sectors that contribute to peace, stability, and economic progress in Somalia.
