Baidoa, SONNA — The Commander-in-Chief of the National Armed Forces and President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has convened a high-level security meeting in Baidoa with the country’s top security leadership.
The meeting brought together senior commanders from the Somali National Army, Police, and Intelligence agencies to review ongoing operations against terrorist groups and assess progress on the ground.
Discussions focused on enhancing coordination between federal and state-level security institutions to ensure a unified and effective response to security threats, particularly in South West State.
The President emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation among security agencies to maintain stability, protect civilians, and consolidate recent gains made in counterterrorism efforts.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen national security structures and ensure lasting peace and stability across the country.
