Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia today held a working meeting attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, representatives from the National Identification Agency, and the Revenue Directorate of the Ministry of Finance. The meeting focused on accelerating and simplifying the documentation process related to the registration, execution, and monitoring of contracts and agreements involving federal government institutions.
Officials emphasized that the meeting is crucial for strengthening governance systems, improving the efficiency of government operations, and reinforcing accountability across public administration. It also aims to ensure that contracts and agreements are carried out in accordance with government regulations, laws, and procedures, safeguarding national interests and enhancing public trust in government institutions.
The Office of the Auditor General highlighted that inter-agency coordination, standardizing procedural understanding, and streamlining document processes are fundamental to effective governance, secure administration, and delivering public services with transparency and accountability.
