Cairo, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today held talks in Cairo with H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to deepen Somalia–Egypt cooperation and coordinate on regional stability.
H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, accompanied the President.
The leaders reaffirmed Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and agreed to strengthen cooperation on security, development, and state institution-building. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s respect for Somalia’s territorial integrity and non-interference in Somalia’s internal affairs.
