Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) Mr. Mahamuud Moallim today met with Somali Custodial Corps Commander Maj. Gen. Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud at SoDMA headquarters to discuss support for prisoners, orphaned children of custodial forces, and improving prison welfare services.
The meeting also focused on strengthening cooperation to address humanitarian challenges facing inmates and vulnerable families connected to the Custodial Corps.
Maj. Gen. Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud praised SoDMA’s disaster prevention efforts and stressed the importance of supporting prisoners, orphaned children, and vulnerable communities.
Commissioner Mohamud reaffirmed SoDMA’s commitment to supporting the Custodial Corps through humanitarian assistance, prison monitoring, and care initiatives for vulnerable groups.
