Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Somali National Armed Forces conducted planned security operations in the Moora Gaabey area, located approximately 30 kilometres northeast of Hudur town, the administrative capital of Bakool region.
The operation targeted hideouts used by Al-Shabaab militia elements, resulting in the elimination of fifteen (15) militants, including three senior operatives who were directly involved in acts of violence against civilians in the area.
This operation forms part of the Somali National Armed Forces’ sustained efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and to ensure peace, security, and the protection of the Somali people.
The Ministry of Defence and the Somali National Armed Forces reaffirm that operations against terrorist groups will continue until lasting peace and stability are fully secured across the country.
